When people think of WordPress there is often the instant association with the blogging revolution, however WP is far more than just that. WordPress is a freeware, open source content management system boasting powerful features and regular consistent updates. Due to the list of great features verses cost this platform allows us to provide our clientele with affordable CMS solutions regardless of whether they want a personal blog, or a fully operating website. So whats the deal with Firefox, well although our websites are designed to be fully browser compatiable, websites just look better in Firefox,  because of this we actively endorse Firefox and recommend everyone uses it as their default internet browser. Click here to find out about Firefox.

Windows

Quixotic Media runs on Windows based computers and Linux based servers.  Windows if efficient and compatiable. In business it’s good to run your operation on what you are comfortable with, and what is compatiable with other businesses, for that there is no alternative but Microsoft’s Windows.

Notepad ++

All our code editing is done with Notepad++ which is surely the best code editor for Windows as its motto is based on saving mother nature by stream lining code changes meaning we save time, and in turn save energy. FileZilla

All website owners, designers and developers require access to their servers via ftp files. For some Cpanel solutions provided by your web hosting company serve as a suitable easy web browser based solution. However being a business with lots to do, we need to automate and minimize our ftp tasks. For this we use the open source FileZilla solutions. Find out more at the FileZilla Project.

Skype

When liasing with a global clientelle it is inperitive to maintain a good working relationship and not allow geographic boundaries to dictate the level of communication we can provide.  For our primary method of commuication we rely on the services provided by the VoIP platform Skype.

With Skype we not only have the ability to text chat, voice chat, video chat, and exchange files, but we also have the facility to allow screen sharing. Something that can be very useful when trying to do practical demonstrations. To download now click Skype.
